Melbourne born and bred, Clare is a brand storyteller and Mumma of two who has been blogging about life and style since 2009.So, when Clare visited our Studio + Factory + Store in Brunswick East last month it was a little like love at first sight, she fell in love with our denim pieces and we were captivated by her beautiful spirit.  We discussed everything from her favourite Melbourne hangouts to her passions and style, here's what she had to say...

 

If you could pick just three words that describe you, what would they be

Passionate. Genuine. Curious.

 

What are you most passionate about?

Living wholeheartedly from the inside out.

 

Why is Melbourne home?

Other than some time in Byron Bay during my twenties, I’ve always lived in Melbourne and can’t imagine living anywhere else. I love our culture of creativity, beautiful open spaces and gardens, food obsession – and the shopping!

 

What are your favourite Melbourne hangouts?

A bit of a mixed bag of all my favourite things:

• Heide Musuem of Modern Art
• Siglo
• The Hamman Steam Room at Werribee Mansion Day Spa
• Smith Street Bazaar
• My local, Cicciolina

 

How would you describe your personal style?

I prefer simple silhouettes, a tightly edited palette and pieces that are strong, not fussy.

 

What is the one Denimsmith item you can’t live without and why?

I’m obsessed with the BANJI jean in bleached indigo denim. It’s got a super flattering wide leg and just the right amount of stretch.

 

What does your perfect day entail?

I am happiest at our farm down on the coast. So, my perfect day would involve sunshine, salt water, time with my family and a spritz at sunset!
